At Jhatpat®, we guarantee rider trust through transparent refund rules while safeguarding driver compensation. Our refund process is designed to be fair.
1. Rider Refund Policy
🔹Pre Ride Cancellation Refunds
• Cancel before driver confirmation → full refund.
• Cancel after driver confirmation → refund minus applicable cancellation fee.
🔹 Driver Delay Refunds
• If the driver arrives 10+ minutes late, riders may cancel without penalty.
• Any cancellation fee already charged is refunded in full.
🔹 Mid Ride Cancellation Refunds
• Fare calculated up to the point of cancellation (base + distance + time).
• Any excess pre-paid amount is refunded minus a modest termination fee.
🔹 Service Failure Refunds
• In case of app error, driver misconduct, or vehicle breakdown → riders receive a full or partial refund depending on distance covered.
• Drivers are compensated separately by Jhatpat® to avoid loss.
🔹 Toll, Parking & Tax Refunds
• These charges are non-refundable once incurred.
• Wrong charges can be disputed; verified excess is refunded.
🔹 Promotional Coupon Refunds
• Coupons remain valid.
• If a ride is refunded, coupon usage is restored to the rider’s account.
2. Driver Refund Policy
• To protect drivers in case of subscription assurance failures:
• Drivers may claim refunds via customer support.
• After investigating revenue impact, decides refund eligibility.
✅ Processing
• Refunds are issued within 3–5 business days via the original payment method.
• Riders can track refund status under “Refunds” in the app.
• Driver earnings remain protected—refunds are absorbed by Jhatpat®, not deducted from driver share.
